Appointment Types

The GP's will look after all general medical issues you may have. On occasion, the receptionist may ask for further information regarding your appointment which can be helpful in arranging your appointment, to ensure you are booking for the correct person and are allowing adequate time for your consult. This is standard procedure.

If you are calling to book something specific like a smear test or a blood test, please let the receptionist know, so you can be booked correctly.

If you are booking an appointment for a non-medical issue, i.e Medical for Driver's Licence or to have Forms on any kind filled in, you must make the receptionist aware of this on booking. Patients requesting Group 2 Driving Licence Medicals, must have their opticians report with them, dated within 3 weeks of appointment. Patients who are unwell have to be prioritised over these types of appointments.

If you are having problems with your teeth or gums, please contact your dentist. This is not an area the the doctors specialize in.

The following appointments are booked with the Nurse, unless otherwise stated by the GP:

Blood Tests, Cervical Smears, Wound Checks & Dressings, Child & Adult Immunisations, Blood Pressure Checks, Blood Pressure Monitors, ECG's,Removal of Stitches & Staples, Cryotherapy, Contraceptive Care, Urine Infections and  CDM / PP.
